Welcome to Desiree, my lunch café in San Francisco's Presidio. As a chef in California for nearly 20 years, I’ve taken from my experiences at Spago, Postrio, and Hawthorne Lane and created my ideal home-style café.
Desiree is located in the San Francisco Film Centre Building of the Presidio of San Francisco and has the honor of being the first public restaurant to be invited into this beautiful and historic former United States Army Base.
The menu at Desiree is born from weekly visits to the Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market. We feature home cooking, breakfast morning breads, espresso and cappuccino. Lunch includes homemade soups, entrée salads and grilled sandwiches. We serve beer and wine by the glass. Desiree is an intimate café with seating for 32 and is the perfect stop for picnic lunches to take on a walk through the Presidio or on your way to the beach in Marin.
At Desiree, I’m continuing the tradition of using fresh California produce to make simple home cooked food.
Lunch is served Monday thru. Friday from 11:30am to 2:30pm.
